The World Halal Business Conference (WHBC) is the premier global platform for Halal industry leadership and innovation, organized by Halal Development Corporation (HDC) under the purview of Ministry of Investment, Trade & Industry (MITI).

Since 2007, WHBC has been the Halal Thought Leadership Avenue for Malaysia’s State Royalties, Prime Minister, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister to deliver the Keynote Address and as a Guest of Honor for the official ceremony. It is where local and international thought leaders, government representatives, business leaders, scholars and civil society from all over the world come together for inspiration, knowledge and innovation with a common aspiration to champion the global Halal economy. WHBC has been held in Malaysia for the past 14 years prior to advancing its presence outwards to countries with advanced economies with WHBC 2022 Melbourne Australia, WHBC 2023 London United Kingdom, Halal Economy Leadership Forum 2024 Riyadh, WHBC 2024 Kuala Lumpur and Halal Economy Leadership Forum 2025 Algeria.

The WHBC 2025 Kuala Lumpur is expected to be convened on 18^th until 19^th September 2025 at the Malaysia International Trade and Exhibition Centre (MITEC) Kuala Lumpur with the aim of fostering dialogue and collaboration within the burgeoning Halal economy sector. Hosted by Ministry of Investment, Trade and Industry (MITI) and organized by the Halal Development Corporation, the WHBC will bring together industry leaders, policymakers, scholars, and entrepreneurs to explore opportunities, challenges, and innovations driving the global Halal economy.

The highlight of WHBC 2025 Kuala Lumpur will be a special Townhall Session with the Chairman of Majlis Pembangunan Industri Halal, the Honourable Dato’ Seri Dr. Ahmad Zahid Hamidi to discuss and deliberate on national halal agenda, strategic initiatives and potential collaboration with global stakeholders towards elevating the Halal sectors growth in line with the Halal Industry Master Plan vision.
