The World Halal Business Conference (WHBC) is a premier global platform for Halal industry leadership, innovation and strategic collaboration, organised by the Halal Development Corporation (HDC) under the purview of the Ministry of Investment, Trade and Industry (MITI).

Built on a legacy of thought leadership, WHBC has evolved into a catalyst for positioning Halal as a global economic driver. More than a conference, WHBC provides a platform where Halal transcends religion to become a benchmark for quality, trust, sustainability and inclusive growth. It brings together policymakers, industry leaders, strategic stakeholders, thought leaders and international partners to discuss emerging trends, strengthen partnerships and coordinate collective efforts towards the successful implementation of the Halal Industry Master Plan 2030 (HIMP 2030).

WHBC 2026 Kuala Lumpur, themed β€œProminent, Visible & Globalised Halal Malaysia”, reflects Malaysia’s aspiration to strengthen its leadership in the global Halal economy and drive greater socioeconomic progress. The conference positions itself as a living expression of Malaysia’s national Halal strategy, moving beyond the question of how Malaysia participates in the global Halal economy to how Malaysia continues to lead it.

At the heart of WHBC 2026 are three strategic pillars: Halal Diplomacy, focusing on policy directions, multilateral cooperation and the geopolitics of global Halal leadership; Trade & Export, exploring how Malaysian Halal businesses can compete and succeed in international markets; and the Halal Ecosystem, addressing Islamic capital, SME financing, infrastructure and the pathway from local operators to global Halal champions.

The conference will convene 1,000+ delegates from 40+ countries, bringing together prominent thought leaders, policymakers, government representatives and industry players for high-level dialogue, knowledge exchange and meaningful collaboration. Key discussions will explore the opportunities presented by the global Halal economy, Malaysia’s position as a leading Halal and Islamic finance hub, accelerating Halal export growth, and strengthening the ecosystem required to scale Malaysian Halal businesses globally.

Taking place on 24 September 2026 at the Malaysia International Trade and Exhibition Centre (MITEC), Kuala Lumpur, WHBC 2026 serves as a strategic platform to unlock opportunities, forge impactful collaborations and advance Malaysia’s role at the forefront of the global Halal economy.
